Evangelism is proclaiming the Good News to people who do not believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. “They are like lost sheep which a good shepherd seeks and brings to safety.” (Matt. 18:12)
Mission Statement
To follow Jesus Christ’s last command on earth, that is to go and make disciples of people and baptize them; and to tell others the Good News about what Jesus Christ has done to save sinners.
Goals and Objectives
The goal of evangelism is to share the Good News and help win converts. A convert is one who becomes a believer in Christ.
• Share the Gospel through witnessing both within the congregation and the wider community
• In a series of workshops and classes, train others how to do personal witnessing
• Help the church establish an ongoing evangelism ministry
• Involve other ministries and members of the church in evangelism
• One-on-one mentoring and discipling
• Develop an active Evangelism link to the church’s Web site
