	Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry This committee makes prospective college students aware of the congregation aware of scholarship and loan opportunities through the Board of Higher Education in Nashville, the Detroit Conference of the United Methodist Church, and the Detroit Black United Methodist Youth Scholarship Fund. Members of the church are also made aware of United Methodist related institutions of higher learning, black United Methodist Colleges and other entities, which provide quality education for youth and adults. In addition to these activities, the newly formed Hope Institute of Music is the educational outlet for the Music Department, in keeping with an aspect of the mission statement.
