United Methodist Men develop programs, which are more relevant to the needs, concerns and aspirations of black men.
Missional outreach projects are also developed. Reestablishing the mentoring program with the Southfield Schools, and creatively exploring the development of programs for youth empowerment are addressed by United Methodist Men. A mentoring program is being established at Carlyle Stewart Elementary School in Detroit. Scouting and other viable ministries could be strengthen with assistance from the United Methodist Men. United Methodist Men are also establishing a Boys to Men mentoring program.
