Sunday Church School
Bridgette L. Rudolph, Superintendent
Mission Statement
The Sunday School is committed to promoting and enhancing sound Christian education
for all of the members of Hope United Methodist Church and to the community
at large.
Components
The major components of the Sunday School are pastors who understand the
need for the Bible to be taught as an extended teaching from the pulpit;
the teachers
who are moral agents devoted to his/her students; and students who hunger
for moral instruction for their daily lives. Christmas and Easter programs
enhance
the visibility of Sunday School along with word-of-mouth, advertising bulletin
postings and colorful posters.
Our Contribution To Church Growth
Bible knowledge acquired in Sunday School contributes to church growth. Teachers
as well as students are studying the Word of God on a consistent weekly
basis. This systematic mode of learning equips the teachers to share the
Gospel
in a more clear and confident manner. As a result, relatives and friends
are more
receptive to an invitation to participate in Sunday worship service.
Co-workers often respond to a Christmas or Easter program invitation that
often ignites
an interest in the church.
