Lay Speakers/Lay Ministers of Hope United Methodist Church
is a ministry dedicated to doing God's work through outstanding service to
the local church, clergy, faith community and community at large on a daily
basis. Our primary mission is to assist clery and laity in fulfilling God's
mandate to reach the lost and grow the saved. Specifically, we conssitently
strive to achieve the following objectives:
- To build God's kingdom by leading people to repentance
and salvation.
- To discover and utilize our spritiual gifts for kingdom
building, and help to develop and guide others by setting examples of faithful
service and personal sacrifice.
- To enhance the worship experience and spiritual development
of the congregation by actively participating with clergy in weekly worship
services.
- To effectively address the spiritual needs of the congregation
through scriptural guidance, preaching, witnessing, teaching leading, serving
and nurtugin the Christian faith.
- To provide ongoing training for the development of lay speakers
and lay ministers.
