Missions Closet of Hope Procedures

God has been faithful to bless Missions with a room that will allow us to house and display our clothing in an inviting and respectful manner. So, when you are preparing to make a donation to the closet stop, and ask yourself the following questions, would God be pleased with my gift? Am I pleased with my gift? And lastly do I want to give someone something that I wouldn’t want? Acts 20:35 says “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

To make a donation of clothing, please contact the church office; ask for the Missions’ extension and leave your name and telephone number so that the Closet Coordinator can call you to make arrangements to accept your donation. Clothes will only be accepted for the Closet of Hope if:

1. Clothes are clean

2. Clothes are in good repair

3. Clothes are on hangers

4. Clothes “must” be delivered to the closet coordinator

Please do not leave donations in the hallway outside the closet door. A coordinator MUST accept your donation. Items left outside the Missions Closet will be disposed of by the custodians.

Just as God has blessed us with good gifts let us also bless someone else with a good gift. This means we should be seeking to give only those things that we ourselves would be glad to receive. To make a donation please contact the church office: leave your name and telephone number so that the closet coordinator can call you to make arrangements to accept your donation

Donations of Non-perishable Food

The purple barrel outside Fellowship Hall is there to collect your non-perishable boxed, bagged and canned donations. Non-perishable donations can be placed in the barrel at any time any time, seven days a week throughout the week.

Donation of Refrigerated Foods

Missions was blessed with a freezer and refrigerator. This blessing has enabled Missions to supplement the current food baskets with additional items that will allow each family to enjoy a well rounded variety of nutritious foods. If you desire to bless someone with frozen and/or refrigerator items please contact the church office: leave your name and telephone number so that the closet coordinator can call you to make arrangements to accept your donation.

“If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him,how can the love of God be in him?” (1 John 3:17)
