Bible Institute
Evelyn Summerville, Chair

The Bible Institute committee has expanded its curricula by adding additional bible study courses. Education should also assist this committee in further expanding this committee into a full institute, which would offer a variety of course on topics related to the Bible. Conducting topical workshops and seminars might also be done to enrich the congregation's knowledge and appreciation of Holy Scripture.

A comprehensive curriculum plan should be therefore developed for the growth and expansion of the Biblical Institute into a full-scaled entity, which could offer continuing education credits to those desiring to attend. This would not only be offered to church members and constituents but members of other United Methodist Churches and the larger Hope community.

Confirmation classes, assistance with Pastors' membership classes, sponsoring workshops and seminars on a variety of topics of educational interest could also be pursued by the education committee. Providing resources, and doing regular literature searches on the availability of information could be done by the education committee. The Bible Institute should begin a certification process through discipleship bible study, conduct graduation ceremonies for Bible Institute students and develop a catalogue of Bible course offerings and course descriptions for dissemination to the larger community.
The Bible Institute should also institute a discipleship bible-training program at Hope.
