The Board serves as both a catalyst and clearinghouse for leadership development in the church. While the Board primarily engages in policy formation, implementation and administrative follow up on the various church service areas, it also energizes leaders and committees to function effectively. The duties of the Administrative Board are cited in the 1996 Book of Discipline.
