Little Village Early Learning Ctr.
Little Village is a full service childcare center located inside of Hope United Methodist Church, servicing children from 6 weeks to 5 years. We will take weekly field trips and have thematic summer weeks. We are open Monday thru Friday from 6:30am until 6:30pm. Pricing is based upon ages: Infants ~ $ 180.000 weekly, Toddler ~ $155.00 weekly and Preschool ~ $140 weekly. We are a State Licensed Facility. Space is limited! How to Register
1. Come to the Fitness Center to pick up the registration form, or download it from
www.HopeUMC.org/Family_Life_Center.htm.
2. Bring or mail your completed form to the Fitness Center, along with a completed medical form and pay the $15 nonrefundable registration fee one week prior to camp selected.
5. All forms should be completed before camp starts.
Multiple Child Discount
Take a $10 discount per session for each additional child enrolled.
Specialty Camps
Lights, Camera, Action! Drama Camp | June 21-25
Students will learn the basic fundamentals of the stage and acting in this camp. Students will work on developing articulation, enunciation, memorization, projection, and dance. A final production is presented by a cast and crew of stars - YOU!
Puppetry in Motion | June 28– July 2
Introduce children to the fascinating art of puppetry, giving them the opportunity to explore their creativity. The students will create their own puppets and put on a play at the end of the week!
Portfolio Graphic Layout & Design | July 11-16
This camp will expose campers to the exciting world of design. Graphic Designers give meaningful visual presentations from print to screen; learn how to develop your own portfolio.
Culinary Art | July 19 –23
Experience the great art of food preparation. From kitchen safety to appetizers, entrées, and desserts. This camp will be sure to please all campers.
You Ought to Be in Pictures! | July 26-30
Discover the process of creating a video from start to finish.
Create a story, design your characters, film it and watch it
come to life. Students learn the basics about video production. Produce your own video.
Cash Flow 101/Chess | Aug 2—6
Cash Flow 101/Chess – Children will learn to invest in real estate, stocks and bonds through exciting games. From the basic moves, to opening strategies, to the end game, children will learn with ease to play one of the most challenging games.
Entrepreneurial Camp | Aug 9—13
Your child will learn concepts on becoming one of our world’s up and coming entrepreneurs. Campers will learn what it takes to run a business, biblical principles about giving, wealth, money and entrepreneurship, and much more.
Push Carts A Go (Design and Racing) | Aug 16—20
The camps emphasize the basics of go-cart designing and building a push go-cart from start to finish, learning to use tools, and safety and a chance to race their designs.

Sports Camps
Hoop Dreams | June 21-25 & June 28-July 2
This camp is especially designed for all basketball team hopefuls. Campers will get the best of instruction from great coaches, and will play enough ball to satisfy even those with the biggest “hoop dreams.” Campers will also enjoy other activities such as swimming, field trips, arts and crafts, music, and much more.
Survival Camp for Boys | July 5 –9 no camp July 4
Get closer to nature this summer! Join other children in one of your neighborhood parks for a full week of survival fun. We’ll explore forests, fields, and creeks, make crafts and play games to learn more about the plants and animals that live right here in our backyard.
Soccer/Volleyball | July 11 –16
This new camp will prepare your future star for the game of soccer and more! Campers will learn about positioning, juggling, passing, heading, shooting, trapping, and the importance of teamwork. Traditional camp activities will also be included.
Golf/Baseball | July 19 –23
This new camp will prepare your future star for the game of golf and baseball! Campers will learn about positioning, swinging, stance, and much more about the importance of teamwork. Traditional camp activities will also be included.
Fencing/Badminton | July 26-30
This camp teaches the fundamental footwork, blade work and tactics involved in this fast paced Olympic sport. Also, badminton techniques will be taught. Campers will play in a mini tournament. As an added bonus swimming and bowling will be explored.
Flag Football | Aug 2—6
Are you ready for some football? Campers will learn the basic fundamentals of football while having a great time. The camp will emphasize skill building, rules of the game, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. Included in this camp are swimming, arts and crafts, field trips, competitions and much more.
Tennis | Aug 9—13
Lace up your sneakers & get your rackets—it’s time to have a ball. You will learn new skills (forehand, backhand, lob, volley, and serve). You will have the opportunity to practice the skills and incorporate the skills into a game situation. Learn the rules and etiquette of tennis, and enjoy the game at all levels of play.

Village of Hope Drop Zone
Looking for a great safe place for kids to go after school? The Village of Hope Drop Zone offers structured activities including Homework Centers, Crafts, Movies, Board Games, Play, and Free Gym.
The mission of the Jim and Jacqueline Jenkins Gymnasium, is to promote and
facilitate the spiritual, physical, mental, and social health
of the members of Hope United Methodist Church and its surrounding
communities.
General Policies and Procedures Membership Fees
Membership fees are based on individuals being a confirmed
FULL member of Hope United Methodist Church (HUMC). A confirmed
FULL
member is an individual who has joined HUMC, confessed Jesus
Christ as Lord, completed a New Member Orientation Session
(six class completion requirement), has recited Membership
Vows before
witnesses and has been baptized. All other individuals are

Days of Operation
The Center's days of operation are published in all church
publications, facility brochures and mailers, and posted
at all entrances to
the facility. Seasonal sports activities and special events
may necessitate changes in the regular days and/or hours
of operation.
The Center is always closed during regularly scheduled worship
services, revivals, and special Holy day services (Maundy
Thursday, etc.). The Center will also be closed on Good Friday,
Easter,
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving,
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's
Day.
Usage/Check
In/Check Out
When entering and exiting the Center, members and guests
must always check in at the service desk to sign in and out.
The
use of the gymnasium, track and fitness center is not permitted
without
proper signature. Members are allowed to bring one guest
every 90 days.
When entering and exiting the Center, members and guests must
always check in at the service desk by showing a valid picture
ID and by also signing in and out.
Behavior and Dress Code
First and foremost, the Center is a Christian facility serving
the people of God. Therefore, all individuals using the
Center must dress appropriately, conduct themselves, and
use language
in accordance with the highest of Christian behavior and
standards. There shall be no inappropriate public display
of affection.
Stereo devices (with the exception of walkmans), weapons,
animals, alcohol, drugs, tobacco, or other controlled substances
are
strictly prohibited. Shirts and shoes are required at all
times. In all
sports activities, only athletic shoes are to be worn on
the gymnasium floor. Shoes should be clear of sand, dirt
and debris.
Workout attire should be of modest taste and appropriately
cover the body. Appropriate workout attire consists of
a T-shirt, shorts/sweatpants
and gym shoes. Inappropriate attire includes ripped/torn
apparel, bra-like tank tops, short crop tops, thong-type
leotards or
any item that does not cover the midriff. Back

Reservations and Scheduling
All events, individual and group activity reservations
outside of the standard programs, are to be scheduled
through. the
Athletic Director. All requests must be made in writing
on an approved
Reservation form. Priority will be given to Hope United
Methodist Church's ministry area functions. All organizations
reserving
the facility must meet an approved criteria set forth
for use of any area of Hope United Methodist Church. Hope
United Methodist Church reserves the right to refuse
and/or
cancel
groups or organizations
that do not meet the set forth criteria. Any refusals
will be advised immediately and cancellations will be made
in
writing
at least 30 days prior to the scheduled event. Back

Equipment
Usage
All equipment used in the Center must be checked out at the
service desk by providing a Valid ID and must
be used for its intended purpose.
Individuals
or
groups who check out equipment are financially responsible
for the equipment if it is damaged, lost, stolen
or destroyed. Outside
equipment is not allowed in the Center. Basketballs
and volleyball are not permitted outside of the gymnasium
area.
Liability
Members and guests of the Center assume all risk in
use of the facility and its equipment. Hope United
Methodist
Church
assumes
no liability or responsibility for any injury from
use of the facility or its equipment. All members
and guests
must
sign
the Medical Registration (liability waiver) form
upon initial registration
or first visit. Hope United Methodist Church does
not make any expressed or implied warranty of the premises,
equipment,
machinery,

Lost and Found
The Center's Lost and Found station is located at
the service desk. Lost items will be returned to
the owner
when requested
and properly identified. Members and guests are
encouraged to place their names on all personal items and
not
to bring items
of value such as jewelry or money. Hope United
Methodist Church assumes no liability for lost or stolen
items.
Items found
in the locker rooms after closing will be placed
in the, Lost and
Found station. Back

Emergencies and Accidents
Any emergency or accident must be reported to the
on-site staff person or designated volunteer.
Basic first aid
supplies are
available at the service desk., In addition,
a wheel chair and a gurney are also available in
the first
aid room.
An injury report form must be completed by the
staff person or designated
volunteer following any accident. A list of local
emergency numbers

Specified Area Regulations Service Desk
Only authorized personnel and/or volunteers are
permitted at the service desk or in the Center's

Fitness Center and Weight Room
Each and every member and guest must participate
in an orientation conducted by a trained
staff or volunteer
person on the use
of all equipment in the Center before use
is permitted. Children under the age of 12 are
not allowed in
the Center.
An adult
must
accompany youths, ages 12-14 and appropriate
dress is required as defined in the "Behavior
and Dress Code" section
of this document. All participants are required
to observe a maximum time limit of 30 minutes
on each
piece of equipment.
A partner should spot members using free
weights. No food or drink (except bottled
water) is permitted in
the Fitness Room.
Each and every member is responsible for
cleanliness and neatness of the Center. Members
are required either
to bring their own
towels for use on weight equipment or use
the disposable towels that are available
in the weight room. Back to

Gymnasium
Gym shoes must be worn at all times during
sporting/recreational activities while
on the gym floor. No food or
drink is allowed on the gym floor. Food
and drink are
allowed on the gym only
for consumption in the stands during basketball
games/practices or on the gym floor during
banquets. Basketballs,
volleyballs, nets, and other gym equipment
must be checked out at
the service desk. Programmed activities
will have priority over free play
and schedules will be strictly adhered
to. Only authorized staff is permitted to adjust
basketball
backboards.
Do
not turn off
gym lights. Each and every member is responsible
for cleanliness
and neatness of the gym. Back

Track
The track is used for physical fitness
and conditioning. It is not a racetrack.
Racing
is not allowed.
The direction of
the
traffic flow is counter clockwise at
all times. Users must not sit or lean over
the railing.
Spectators are not permitted
to
watch games or other activities from
the track. Objects
are not to be thrown from the track down
to the gym floor. Traffic
on
the track must keep moving unless in
designated rest areas. No food or drink is allowed
on the track (except
bottled
water). Children under the age of 12
are not allowed on the track.
Walkers
must stay out of jogging/running lanes. Back

Locker Rooms, Saunas, and Showers
The number of showers and lockers is
limited, so please plan for adequate
use time during
peak hours.
Do not
leave water
running in the showers. Locks can be
used but must be removed before
the Center closes. All locks left on
lockers will be cut off at the end
of the day.
The Center will
not
provide locks. Please
remove wet, sweaty or soiled clothes
or towels from the locker area. The
participants must
furnish towels
and
personal
items.
No food, drink or gum is allowed in
this area. Please help keep the dressing rooms
clean by
flushing toilets,
wiping
up water
spills and cleaning off all counter
space after use. No horseplay is allowed. All
children must be closely
supervised.
Fathers
should not take daughters over the
age of 2
in the Men's Locker Area. Mothers should
not take
sons over
the age
of 2 in the
Women's Locker Area. Only adults are
allowed
to use the saunas. Time
in the saunas must not exceed 30 minutes.

Hallways
Hallways are for facilitating the flow
of traffic and are not to be used
for meetings or loitering.
There
is absolutely
no
running in the halls. Back

Basketball Group Rental Rules and
Regulations Basketball group rental
leases should
only be issued on a
quarterly, semi-annual,
or annual basis, with a special
discount to encourage annual leases only.
There are no
weekly or monthly
rental leases.
All leases must be paid in advance.
Any adjustments to a group's
schedule are
to be rescheduled
or pro-rated in a
refund at
the
end of the lease agreement. Members
of each group must be registered
under the
name of
the group
at the service
desk.
Groups
are
to adhere to all Center rules
and regulations.
Groups must strictly
adhere to their scheduled times.
All groups must adhere to standard
house
rules for
running games.
